I serve couples facing a variety of relationship issues including communication breakdown to affair recovery; emotional disconnection to gridlocked conflict. For engaged couples I am available for pre-marital counseling.
I primarily use Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, which applies 50 years of research on human bonding and 30 years of applying that research to couples counseling. This helps us understand and work through the patterns our relationships get stuck in when we conflict seems to threaten a sense of security and belonging in the relationship.
My approach has also been influenced by Gottman Method Couples Counseling. and Drs. John and Julie Gottman’s 40 years of relationship research to understand why some relationships last for decades while others end.
